Mike Murray is the founder and CEO of Scope Security where he builds on his nearly two decades of experience to solve critical security problems in healthcare. Prior to founding Scope, Murray served as the Chief Security Officer at Lookout, led Product Development Security at GE Healthcare and co-founded The Hacker Academy and MAD Security.

Abstract:    It seems like the things that have been the pillars of the security industry should work across most IT focused environments.  Yet healthcare's struggles with ransomware, breaches and security incidents are almost weekly news.   In this talk, security industry veteran and founder of Scope Security Mike Murray will talk about his own journey to learn about the unique unique security challenges across the increasingly complex healthcare environment, talk about what he has seen and learned, and provide some thoughts on how the security industry can better serve the healthcare industry.
