Topic of Discussion: NIST's Post-Quantum Resistant algorithms

Speaker Information:

Dr. Rob Campbell, PhD

Topic:

NIST's Post-Quantum Resistant algorithms have set in motion our nation's most comprehensive, disruptive, complex, and costly public key cryptography migration in history.

It will require corporations and governments to migrate to these new standards to safeguard digital assets and maintain compliance. These new standards are not "plug-and-play" and require a newly trained workforce that is in short supply or does not exist.

There are things that we need to do now to start the planning and migration. We must modify our Public Key Infrastructure to accommodate these new algorithms. We will need to re-engineer the protocols, hardware, and software that run our Smart Phones, Desktops, Servers, Web Services, VPNs, VOIP, TLS, SSH, Digital Signatures, Key Encapsulating Mechanisms KEM).
